At KidMed, we provide specialist assessments for children and adolescents aged 0 to 16 who may be experiencing challenges with learning, cognition, academics, attention, or development. Our psychologist, Diana Babajanyan, is a Clinical Neuropsychology Registrar with a Master’s degree in Clinical Neuropsychology.

Academic and learning assessments, including for dyslexia and other learning difficulties

What You Can Expect
Assessments vary depending on the referral question and specific concerns, but generally include:
•
A comprehensive clinical interview to understand the child’s background, abilities, and areas of concerns.
•
A range of standardised tests and inventories to assess cognition (thinking skills), development, and emotional and psychological functioning.
•
A feedback session to discuss the results of the assessment and individually tailored recommendations.
•
A detailed written report summarising assessment findings and recommendations. These may assist with diagnosis, school planning, intervention strategies, and access to appropriate supports such as NDIS.
